My parents, Celia and Jessie Rivas, built this restaurant through hard work and family support. After moving from Denver, Colorado to Washington, they worked in the fields and learned business one step at a time. My mother cooked the way her family taught her, and those same roots still guide the food we serve at Mexico Cafe today.

Mexico Cafe became the first Mexican restaurant in the valley at that time. We served the same farmers who had once given my family work. That part of our story still means a lot to me. It reminds me that this restaurant was built to serve real people with honest meals, kind service, and a close tie to the local community.
